FUTURE DELUXE challenged the seniors at Ringling College of Art and Design to create a collection of static wallpapers that will be used as part of an OS update within the Windows platform.

CLOUD SPACE
Concept
Microsoft is more than just a technology company, it is a Cloud-based company, providing ease and use of its software in any place, anytime. Since the company’s focus is to provide its easy cloud-based system to its users, this direction exemplifies that in its new OS wallpaper with an evolving cloud in a physical, abstract space, defining the space the users may use while interacting with Windows products.

FIRST PASS
This direction roughly represents the concept of a “cloud space”, but was not new and experimental in showing the concept and fitting with FUTURE DELUXE’S studio identity.
SECOND PASS
This direction then experiments with the cloud formation and explores what aspects of the cloud seem “Wallpaper Worthy”. The pixelation of the cloud represents the data that the Microsoft Cloud holds and keeps for its users to access.
THIRD PASS
This direction then pushes the aspect of incorporating the illuminated lines that represent the information moving outside and inside the cloud.
